MDMA Adulterants
MDMA is often cut with other substances, using a test kit is always a good idea. Test kits are the best way to identify pure MDMA but if one isn’t readily available you can recognize MDMA as being a crystalline powder that glimmers with a colour scale that varies from white to dark brown. Visuals are not a great indicator of what you are getting though. Pressed pills could have anything in them so they should always be tested.

Purity
Data given by ChemCenter, an Australia government forensic organisation, found that MDMA purity levels across Australia were at 18.9% in 2011-2012. There has been a steady decrease in purity levels since 2005-6 where purity levels were at 32.7%.
